About Me: Boy are you in for a ride! Okay…no not really, but I’ll try not to bore you. For starters, I just want to lay it all out on the table and let you know that I’d rather spend 3 hours in a dental chair then write a bio about myself! Oregon sales agreements and real estate negotiations, now THAT’s what I’m good at!
Jackson County Oregon has been “base camp” for all of my 38 years. I’ve lived in Texas, England, Alaska (Alaska 3 different times lol), and many small towns in Southern Oregon. It’s almost as if there’s some force that brings you back here! From the beautiful scenery, true 4 seasons, amazing food, strong growing economy, AND all the adventures to be had – there’s really no other place I’d rather be than to share this little slice of heaven with my husband of nearly 20 years and 3 daughters.
When my family, friends and I aren’t sharing the love of outdoor adventures and the fantastic dining, brewery and winery options here, I’m 100% focused on my clients and the transaction at hand. I take my role as a real estate agent very seriously and do my best to keep the process fun. No stuffy egotist here, I appreciate a good sense of humor and value people who can be true to themselves.
Having witnessed the tremendous change and growth that’s transformed this area into a sought-after destination. I understand the need for a distinctive real estate representation and specialize in representing a wide variety of buyers and sellers. My success comes from focusing on getting to know my clients as real people, and always take care of them from beginning to end with welcomed energy and integrity. My exceptional knowledge of the market coupled with my BA in Business Administration and expertise in having built, lived in and sold numerous properties throughout the area makes me the perfect resource for all your real estate needs!
Clients Say My Strengths Are: My experience, strong negotiating skills, knowledge of the area, energy and drive, and down-to-earth approach to real estate.
Favorite Advice for Buyers: Know what you qualify for before you begin shopping! If you're not a cash buyer, you absolutely should get preapproved before looking for a home. With a simple loan application and conversation with your mortgage lender, getting preapproved helps you and your agent narrow down your search to only properties that will fit within your price range and budget. Initial expectations of how much you can afford may be different than reality, especially if you're buying your first home.
Favorite Advice for Sellers: Kitchens and bathrooms SELL!! BUT, neglected deferred maintenance can chew up a lot of cash quickly, and buyers are deathly afraid of that so if you are thinking about putting money into home improvement projects this year, keep a few things in mind…
1. Get a home inspection done. 99.9% of the time buyers hire a professional home inspector before they agree to make that commitment. So rather than stressing over the report and what the repair addendum is going to look like while in escrow, get a home inspection done before listing and avoid the unknown defects, renegotiation stresses and/or fallen deals by taking the time to make necessary repairs. This will allow you to list your home with confidence and get you what you’re asking for!
2. Know the value of your home and other houses in your immediate neighborhood…don’t know, ask me for a no obligation assessment.
3. The quality of your projects and how soon you sell after making those upgrades will reflect in the value….don’t install a $8,000 fridge in a $250,000 house – this just doesn’t pencil out.
If you’ve made it this far, congratulations! Haha! I look forward to working for you and please, feel free to call, text or email me anytime - I’m ALWAYS working, even while on vacation my trusty laptop and phone are always with me!
